Loucia D. Constantinou
Loucia D. Constantinou, PhD is a public-school teacher, a School Administrator, and a teacher educator by training. She has been appointed at the Cyprus Quality and Accreditation Agency (CYQAA) as an Education Officer since September of 2021. In the past, she has been involved in internal evaluation at several institutions of higher learning (University at Albany-SUNY, Michigan State University, Hellenic College).Dr. Constantinou was trained as an elementary classroom teacher in Cyprus (Diploma-Pedagogical Academy of Cyprus). She also holds degrees in Psychology (B.A., University at Albany-SUNY), Learning and Teaching (Ed.M, Harvard University), and Curriculum and Instruction (M.Sc. & C.A.S., University at Albany-SUNY). Dr. Constantinou earned her PhD in Teacher Education from Michigan State University (Ph.D, Curriculum, Instruction and Teacher Education). Her area of expertise is teacher learning and development, as well as teacher induction and mentoring.
Loucia D. Constantinou has an extensive record of professional experience, teaching and researching in a variety of settings (Cyprus Pedagogical Institute, Cyprus Educational Mission to the UK, Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications, Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth, Michigan State University, University at Albany-SUNY, Hellenic College). She has attended professional seminars in her field and presented her research work in conferences in various countries in Europe and in the USA. Dr. Loucia D. Constantinou is the recipient of numerous honors, awards, and fellowships, including a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar Grant.
