ENQA Board agreed to reconfirm CYQAA’s membership in ENQA

The Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA) is pleased to announce that at its meeting on 3 June 2024, the ENQA Board agreed to reconfirm CYQAA’s membership in ENQA for five years from that date. The Board concluded that CYQAA is in compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015), following the receipt of EQAR’s Approval of the Application for Renewal of Inclusion on the Register (Ref. RC42/A147), thus fulfilling the membership criteria according to article 6, paragraph 1 of ENQA’s Rules of Procedure.

The ENQA review process was multilevel. As part of this thorough process, the ENQA panel of experts visited CYQAA for an onsite visit between 2 – 5 October 2023.

ENQA is considered as one of our most important stakeholders for quality assurance in Europe and it has significantly contributed to the enhancement of quality assurance of higher education in Cyprus.

The HQA expresses its gratitude to all its social partners (Members of Parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Education, universities, professional bodies, and students) who participated in the ENQA evaluation process, the report of which was an integral part of the Agency's application to EQAR.
