Announcement on Personal Interviews in the Admission Process for Health

Sciences Programmes

The Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CYQAA), in its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of Health Sciences study programmes and taking into account international good practices, places particular emphasis on the adoption of admission procedures that include personal interviews with applicants, in addition to the assessment of their academic qualifications.
The Council of the Agency considers personal interviews to be an important component of the holistic assessment of applicants and recommends their incorporation into student selection procedures for Health Sciences study programmes, insofar as this is consistent with the applicable regulatory framework and established admission procedures.
The adoption of such practices will be viewed favourably in the context of the evaluation and accreditation procedures for study programmes.
