Diofantos G. Hadjimitsis is the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Full Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics of the Cyprus University of technology. He was the Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics. He has more than 300 publications in journals, conference proceedings and chapters in books in the field of remote sensing, space applications, geo-information and GIS for environmental surveillance /environmental monitoring, geomatics and civil engineering. His research group consisted of more than 35 researchers and is the largest group at the University. Since his appointment at the Cyprus University of Technology (2007), he participated in more than 40 research projects with funding sources from the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation, H2020, FP6, FP7, Eureka, Life +, EC regional funds, Erasmus and national funds. Diofantos has been a coordinator of more than 15 research projects.
He undertook his PhD and MPhil (1996-1999) in the field of Satellite Remote Sensing intended for water quality monitoring in water treatment reservoirs from the University of Surrey, Department of Civil Engineering (UK). His PHD has been sponsored from Thames Water Utilities (UK). During his doctoral studies he received an ORS Scholarship and a Faculty of Engineering Scholarship. He obtained a First Class BEng. (Honours) Degree in Civil Engineering from Surrey University (1994-1996). Diofantos was awarded the Felix Pulzer Memorial Prize (Surrey Univ.) and National Guard Prize (HTI). He obtained a First class HND Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Higher Technical Institute (1989-1992). Diofantos obtained a distinction MSc award in Real Estate and Property Management (RICS), from the University of Salford (UK) (2005-2007). Diofantos worked in the past at the University of Surrey (UK), University of Southampton (UK), Frederick University and in the industry.
Diofantos is a civil engineer and accredited valuator by profession and member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ΕΤΕΚ) in both professional areas. Diofantos is a Senior Member of SPIE (has been elected from SPIE for the year 2014 for his achievements in Remote Sensing)
He is the member of the National Experts appointed by the Cyprus Government for investigating the potential of Cyprus to join the European Space Agency (ESA). He is the member of the editorial team of the MDPI Remote Sensing Journal, Heritage MDPI Journal, Open Geosciences etc.
Pantelis Sklias (1969) is a Professor of International Political Economy (IPE) at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Peloponnese. He also taught in the Department of International and European Studies – University of Macedonia (visiting lecturer) – the Department of International Economic Relations and Development – Democritus University of Thrace, Visiting lecturer and Assistant Professor from 2002-2007 – and the Hellenic Open University – 2002 until today – . He graduated (1990) from the Department of International Studies of Panteion University in Athens. He was awarded both his MA in International Relations (1991) and his Ph.D. in IPE (1998) from the University of Sussex (UK). The title of his Ph.D. thesis is “Non Governmental Organizations and the IPE, with special reference to the European Union’s Development Policy”. He accomplished (2000) his post doctorate thesis at the Hellenic Center of Political Research of Panteion University with a fellowship from the State Fellowship Foundation. His post doctoral research topic is “The IPE of the relations between the EU and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the ex-Soviet Union”. From 1999 until 2002 he has been a Visiting Research Fellow of the Postgraduate Center for Culture, Development and the Environment (CDE) of the University of Sussex.

Pantelis Sklias also has an extensive experience (1995-2004) in working with International and EU organizations and NGOs in development cooperation projects mainly in the SEE region countries (Albania, Serbia, FYROM, Kosovo). He has also planned, monitored and implemented projects in Third World Countries. Professor Sklias has also served as:

Marios Mouyis is a graduate of the Greek European School Philips. After completing his military service for 2 years he is currently a pharmacy student at the University of Nicosia.
During his studies he has been heavily involved in student politics and has been a strong advocate for student rights. He served as president of Anagennisis Student Union at the university of Nicosia from 2013-2016 and in February 2016 he was elected as Vice President of the regional youth committee for the Democratic Party in Nicosia/Keryneia. He has also been elected to other committees such as representative of students in the Senate and student representative in the Undergraduate studies committee, both at the university of Nicosia.
The culmination of his student representative activities was being elected as the president of the Pancyprian Federation of Student Unions (POFEN), January2017-July 2017
From September 2018 onwards he is a member of the Cyprus Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DIPAE) as the POFEN representative.
